Microsoft Teams was first announced in 2017, and it’s only now the app has made it to the Redmond giant’s app store for Windows. The Teams app on the Microsoft app store is currently on version 1.3, the same as the manually downloaded version. Also, the Teams app downloaded from the app store would replace the already installed Teams from the website. Meanwhile, on Windows 10, users can also use their personal accounts in addition to work and school accounts. However, on Windows 11, a user would only be able to use work and school accounts with the Teams downloaded from the app store. The app available on the Microsoft Store comes with no significant changes compared to its counterpart. Mik Chernomordikov, Group Program Manager at Microsoft, shared the news of Microsoft Teams coming to the app store.
